Hi Paul,
My Ram is owned and insured by my business. The insurance will cover SMALL trailers only. My car (truck) trailer needs its own rider. I just purchased a 10 foot dump trailer. I called my agent to see if it needed its own insurance and she said no for length but yes because the GVW rating was higher than they will cover under the trucks policy. This is with Acadia insurance.
