There is always hope it can be salvaged. Drain all fluids, flush and flush with a kero or diesel until no fluid drains our cloudy. Pull the spark plugs and crank the engine to blow out the water, will with marvel mystery and keep doing this until the marvel is not cloudy.
Pull the seats and put in the sun. Use a air hose and blow out the gauges and all electrical equipment. Move fast, but one step at a time and you can win.
I once was given a 17 foot Chris Craft with a 283 engine that had been sunk for a week. I recovered it, did the above mentioned things and she came though it with only minor problems. Her hull was in bad shape with years of neglect. I eventually did a full resto and had a beautiful 17'Chris Ski boat for quite a few trouble free years.
