Yep, will try jamming a stick in to hold the clutch down while it sits. Can't hurt. And will try the brake cleaner. I usually put great faith in Kroil to unstick rusty stuff but figured that's not such a good idea on a clutch. We get a lot of condensation in the winter here. Bare metal can stay wet for weeks, even under cover, when it gets cold-soaked at night and the sun doesn't hit it during the day.
