Drew,
On greasy rain slicked clay they'll slide you right off the road sideways, and on wet slickrock, they're also very slippery, but they have few betters on deep thick mud, broken rubble, creek bottoms, and sand. You need to watch that center rib, cause if you overinflate them for conditions, it acts like a skate. I never understood why they didn't continue the lugs across center. For wear, they're decent, and they're fairly quiet on pavement, they don't catch a road seam too badly, you don't get the radial sidewall "squish", and inflated properly, they'll take a brutal load. The casings tend to flat spot after parking for a while, and they can be impossible to balance, (same as any big tire) but for the money, you probably can't do any better. My personal opinion is that they're pretty sure footed for a wide range of conditions, and terrible for just a few.
