What are NDT 's like offroad?

I'm sorry to bring up NDTs again as I did see them earlier. What are NDT's like offroad. I'm not to concerned about how they do on the road in rain and snow because I guess I can always chain up. The main thing I'm concerned about is what they can do offroad. How do they do on Rocks, mud, and all the other kind of things you run into in the mountains. The $125 price tag would really be a lifesaver compared to $205 BFG's. I don't want to cut cost at the price of my four wheelin.
What do you think about them? Please respond.
