I looked long and hard at Swampers, both TSL radials and bias ply, for my M37. Wound up with a set of the Michelin 9:00 R16 XL's. It was going to cost around $850 to put the swampers, with new tubes and flaps on the truck. The Michelin's ran me $1120. The $280 difference just didn't seem worth the difference in the tires. The XL is the best tire of it's kind there is, and they're made for the Budd rims, the Swampers just fit on them. The bead angle is different. On top of all that, when I caller Interco to talk to a tech about their tires, the woman who answered said that they didn't have technical people, but she assured me that they were "really good tires." When I called Michelin I spoke to a guy for 45 minutes about tires and M37s. His only job is to talk to folks about truck tires, no sales pitch at all. BTW I couldn't be happier with the XL's. Worth every penny.
