A MU-2 does not fit easily on a W300 (although anything is possible) because the front angle iron is about 2 inches higher than the rear angle iron. You want a winch that has the front and rear angle irons at the same level (on the same horizontal plane). The Braden models you want are a MU-2A (per Arron) or a MU-3, which has level angle irons. The angle irons on a MU-2A or MU-3 (but NOT a MU-2) easily bolt to the inside bottom of the frame extensions that hold the winch. My 1968 W300 has two MU-3 winches installed, one at each end. The one at the rear bolts to the inside bottom of the frame rails. Try junkyards and tow truck conversion shops (shops than convert pickup trucks into tow trucks - they may have some used winches sitting around). Good luck!
