Vaughn gave you a good start. I am in the early stages of a 1948. The master cyl on the early pw's are only single resivour, meaning that if you blow a line, the guy in front of you has a real problem. ( good chance you will only have to re-spray the bumber!) You ca'nt go wrong by compleatly re-doing the brakes from top to bottom and using dot 5 fluid (dosn't absorb moisture) You will be spending a few bucks more now, but a lot better off in the long run. one more thing, practice lying to the wife about how much you spend on your new toy. good luck & have fun
