But I think the transfer case is noisy no matter what.
I was very concerned about mine. I put a couple thousand miles
on it, and noticed that the races and bearings were badly pitted,
so I rebuild another case and after installing it, the noise was
just as loud. I've put four thousand high way miles on it,
and it's fine. I do run synthetic gear oil in it.
