I have some pic's scanned, but I can't figure out how to post them. This computer stuff drives me nuts. If you give me your E-mail address, I,ll (try to) send them to you, and maybe you can figure it out-whatever??
Anyway, about the truck. As you know Gilles doesn't speak much English, and my French is more than a little rusty, so I THINK this is the story. It was used by a logging or mining company in central Quebec. It was a supervisor's truck, so it didn't get much hard use. Gilles said that he knew the truck from when he was young. It has about 25,000 original miles. Everything has been restored to showroom except for the engine, which was tested, and refinish detailed. He also had some parts (windshield frame, headlights, grill etc.) chrome plated, which I'm sure are not original, as well as repro front bumpers mounted on the rear with backup lights. I think Gilles did a great job. I also have a '72 Mach 1, which I have owned since new. I had it restored 2 years ago by John Miles from Vintage & Performace Restorations. John is more than a little picky about what he does. John picked up the truck for me in Montreal, and even HE was impressed. I'll try to include some pic's of the 'Stang as well. It looks stock, but it now pumps out 420 HP & about the same torgue per the dyno.
By the way, if you ever get over to see Gilles, ask him to show you his other toy. It a #'s match wine on white bowtie ragtop with the classic power - 409!! AND it's mint.
