Well, I figured I'd pester the experts again.

I'm in the process of setting up the timing on my WC-22 prior to getting it started. I've taken the distributor out, cleaned all the dead bugs outta it and all that. Now I want to get the crank lined up at TDC for the #1 cylinder. The pointer is there above the pulley, but I can't find any marks on the pulley, just two opposing round holes fairly close to the center. I'm wondering if I might be missing something, or if the pulley isn't stock. There are NO lines to be seen anywhere on it, and it's not that rusty.

If it turns out that I'm not missing something, then I'll just set it by checking the compression in the number one cylinder and lining it up so that the piston is at TDC on the crank stroke, then mark the pulley.

Thanks as usual,

vince
