For a do it yourselfer product, I used "Gator Guard" (from Eastwood) on my old Ford beater work truck. Unlike some of the other do it yourself products, this is a 2 part epoxy and dries to a very tough coating.
It held up well, but the truck was sent to scrap due to an accident about 6 months after application, so I can't comment on long term performance.
