This question is aimed at those who do their own PW Differential work. If a reasonably intelligent person had the Dodge Shop Manual and ARB Manual, could they rebuild a differential, change gears from 5.83 to 4.89 and add ARB lockers. Keep in mind there is NO ONE looking over your shoulder to point out mistakes, no final person checking that the work was done correctly, you’re on your own (YOYO). If you do all work exactly as specified in the Shop Manual, on a FIRST TIME rebuild, could you trust that Diff to carry you to remote places and bring you home. There is huge bucks to be saved by doing your own work, but only if it’s done flawless.

I have a great set of tools bought at the local Dollar store, can read English, change my own oil, and have a BIG Hammer. So what are my chances for total success?

‘Reasonably Intelligent’ is probably open for long discussion LOL
