Is there any possibility that you received the wrong cam back from the grinder? Sometimes the machine shops may have two jobs going at once, and there may have been a mixup. Other times, especially if it is a big shop, they may have several cams on the shelf and send you one that is already done. Maybe they sent you the wrong cam by mistake.
There is very little likelyhood of the cam getting bigger while at the machine shop...steroids work only on living tissues!
