I presume we're trying to preserve the painted surfaces so heat would be a non starter.
I made a tool to press out hinge pins. It was nothing more than a three inch piece of rectangular tubing. I drilled a hole through the top & bottom inline with the pin. I welded a nut on the bottom hole and enlarged the top hole to accomodate the head of the pin. I used a 1/4-20 bolt to press out the pin. If I could find the bloody thing I'd post a picture.
