Paul. I had a friend like that. He worked in the Navy shipyards in Bremerton, Wa., and on some of the dams on the Columbia River, as a mechanic. He could pull a transmission apart and scatter the parts around the bench. He would say "There's only one place each part can go". He taught me how to fill a leaky fuel tank with carbon monoxide from the exhaust pipe of a running vehicle, then safely weld it. The knowledge that went with him was incredible. JH
