is the reason the book says the stock manifolds are bad, performace? I would run the stock ones if they fit. youre not building a dragster. your truck is very low geared and should have plenty of power with stock manifolds. I used to build custom headers for many things and without any custom exhaust esperience it may turn out to be a long frustrating leaky esperience. but I don't know who you have around to help. Just my .02 I would run the cast manifolds. Steve
