A man who gave his live to violence died by violence. I think that he has a mixed following even with the muslums. A lot of them do not like him as he killed too many of his own kind to be well liked.
I suspect that there may be less infighting amoung the Shites and Sunni now that he is gone. That could be good or bad. Hopefully they will get their act together and work together so that we will be out of there all the sooner. Not sure how possible that is with the history of dislike that they have for each other. Only time will tell. He did spend a lot of effort trying to get the Sunni and Shites to fight each other by targeting them "his own people". It will take time to heal, but I am encouraged by the statements of some Iraqies that it is time to stop all this fighting. It will never end until the people say enough is enough. It is not good enough for the leaders to say it. The people have to tell the leaders that enough is enough. Politicians seem keep on with their agenda until the people slap them a few times to get their attention at leaset for a short time.
