Maybe buyers are finally wising up and aren't snapping up everything GL lists just because it's "genuine government surplus". I don't blame them for selling them all in one place. They definitely aren't interested in shipping anything to another DRMO unless the government pays the freight. Distributing a large lot convenient locations and selling them individually is the job of whoever buys them.

Maybe I'll have to take another look at GL and see what things are going for. I haven't bought anything from them for a year. The problem is lots of buyers seem bound and determined to get their box of "genuine government surplus" regardless of what's in it. In all the vehicle batch lots I've seen since GL took over, it appears the good stuff has all be high-graded out. Your left with a pile of filters and odd parts for vehicles that no civilian has. GL tries hard to identify every item it's selling, no doubt to get more bidding interest, but oftentimes the identification is misleading, for example I've seen something listed as a cargo bow and cover kit, but when I looked at it it was missing most of the pieces, miscellaneous other bows were thrown in the box, lots of the stuff was broken, and the tarp was rotten. Nevertheless, somebody bid it up to what you'd pay a dealer for a good one.

By the way, back when the DRMOs sold stuff directly, you could go out to the used tire pile and pick any tire you wanted for $5. Some of them were pretty decent.
