The only real problem is to not shear off any of the studs as you remove the manifolds from the block. This also holds true for separating the intake and exhaust manifolds.

Either apply heat to the nuts to loosen them or use lots of penetrating oil and clean the threads as best as possible. Once you get a nut cracked loose add more penetrating oil and work the nut back and forth as you remove it. This get oil into the threads and also heps clean the threads of some of the rust. Remember everything is rusted and brittle.

In putiing things back together I would use all new studs and nuts. Use anti sieze during assembly.
