I got the same story from him. For something that had so many memories of Grand Pa he sure is letting it go to waste! The Bean Fire Pumps were top of the line way back. Your right High Pressure Stream very little water and it did work but lots of water worked better on a fire. I have a PTO Driven Edwards Rotory Fire Pump out of a PW, now that is a great design high pressure and volume at the same time. They can put out around 300 PSI so you have to have a blow off or you will ruin them. Mark H.
