The Town Wagon is way to heavy for a Flat Tow. The 1500 is to Light to safely tow a Heavy Town Wagon. The Town Wagon should be on a heavy duty tandem axle trailer rated for at least 10K pound load, with brakes on each of the 4 wheels and a 'good' brake controller on the two truck. Then once on a trailer, you need to find a 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck to tow with.

It would be much easier, and much safer to hire a trucker to move the TW cross country.

Its not just the safety of the TW. Its your safety, and your responsibility to others on the road. One of the guys here on the forum went thru a roll over towing a trailer with a light tow truck. Dont do it, be safe.
