Removing windshield frame

I know this has be done here before, but I am going to try to remove my windsheild frame from my 53 ffpw to clean, repaint and replace the glass in it.

To me, the easy way would be to crank out the windshield first then remove the screws. But, the windsheild regulator is stuck. Any other ideas? Thanks.
