I bought a 6-gallon boat tank this winter for just that purpose. I also bought one of the rubber squeeze bulb primers to get fuel into the system too. Cabela's had the tank for about $25.00 and the primer bulb for about $7.00. Add in fuel line to reach the fuel pump intake, and your total comes to less than $40.00 - pretty cheap insurance for what you need to do. You may decide to just drive it home and save the cost of having it hauled!

Check local sporting goods stores, marine supply stores, auto parts stores or even Wal Mart for availability of tank at your destination. Buy the tank and hose, fill it up and off you go.
