Reminds me of when I was a kid and my Mom had an Olds, one of the first models with idiot lights. She wouldn't drive it because the "Engine Hot" light would come on after two minutes of driving. Dad was away from home for a few weeks, and Mom wouldn't take it to the dealer. My intuition told me it wasn't really overheating. Rode my bicycle way down to the olds dealer and bought a new sensor. End of story.
