Many hubs have a step that the race butts against. The step will have 2 notches in it- for a drift. I used the shaft from a Mcpherson strut, or a 3/8ths ratchet extension- hard on the extension, don't use your Snap-On stuff, but I always figure that tools are only as good as the job that needs to be done. Whack in each notch alternatly. You shouldn't need more than a 2-4# hammer. Shouldn't be too tight, since there is nothing pushing them apart, and the design is to push together in use...
