Looks like it uses a remote reservoir, just the pump mounted on the alt.

My guess is that pressure and volume ought to suffice for PS on a FFPW- alts have a smaller pully, so spin 2-3 times as fast. The whole assy would fit within the area of the generator, and put a reservoir on the fender. I had an old Chysler pump on my Command Car- the kind that used a reservoir that was mounted above the pump on a piece of pipe. Somebody had sawn of the pipe, and mounted the tank to the fender, plumbed between the pipe ends with heater hose. Return line went to the side of the tank. eBay has stainless radiator overflow tanks, made from a length of 2"tubing, need one fitting added?
