I never use an oxidizing flame to braze, burns up rod and work piece. 5 pounds oxygen pressure and 5 pounds acetylene pressure for light gauge work. I use a neutral flame, low volume. Makes a slight noise, not a hissing sound. Use flux coated rods, diameter sized for application. Clean work piece very well. No rust allowed. Have repaired oil pans this way.
