yet another windshield rubber question

It's amazing how easy the rubber goes in once you get the technique sorted.But now I have about an extra 3 inches of rubber and I'm wondering if the seal is pulled too tight? I tried not to stretch it as it went in.Any forum wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
