well, the water pump is brand new; the radiator is one of the large ones;had the transmission & all that goes w/that rebuilt for towing xtra heavy loads (soo the guy told us..), it does not have a fan clutch,dont know about the fan shroud-cant remember,will have to go outside & take a peek; does have a trans cooler. umm- thinking here- what else..it is an automatic, with a/c that has not been run/touched for the past 4-5 years,the truck sat for that long before we got it.our temps here in Az get to the upper 120's so possibly the fan is no good 'cuz the sun/heat destroys EVERYTHING it can get to.the person who owned it prior to us(a personal friend, original owner) who owned it never had overheating problems while he drove it all over towing his livestock,we just encountered this problem once we got it up & running again.very frustrating !
but thank you all for the input, we will definatly conquer this,hopefully before it sends me over the edge (lol)!
