Hi Paul,
When we poured my slab I bought the cure and seal right from the redi-mix plant. The lumberyard will try to sell you Thompsons water seal or something like it. My neighbor put Thompsons on a fairly fresh slab and it was sticky and actually wet for a couple of months. This was in an already built garage, so it wasnt rain water keeping it wet.
