That's my vote too. If a movie can have an M38 driving around in "WWII" and a WDX with an iron cross, then your M-51 can be painted desert and STILL carry the 442nd markings, great tribute by the way! Just paint the markings in black on the desert beige, that looks cool and is correct for 1972....= )
