Well after a long afternoon Mike and I got the 57 Townwagon to move under it's own power, something it hasn't done in some time. We have been trying to get the 3 speed hooked up and after picking up an automatic shift rod from an 84 Ram truck we were successful. It's not exactly right since reverse is in the wrong location but we didn't care as long it MOVED. We ran it down to my house for a very short run seeing as how we don't have any exhaust on the 315 but it went through a 3 gears. We still need a gastank, the 5 gallon can strapped to the frame extension out front just won't do. I have the body rust on the run after I welded in a large patch last night on the rear corner. I think we are going to make it for our trail ride in Tennessee on June 9-11. I love Townies.
