Here is a question that affects most anyone with a Truck and trailer. When I picked up my latest Power Wagon parts truck in Binghamton New York a couple of weeks ago, the seller who is a tow truck operator pointed to the company name on the side of my truck (I a a building contractor)and said "you should cover that name up or you will be required to stop at all weigh stations and comply with all of the Truckers regulations such as a Drivers physical card, flares, fire extinguisher etc. He said without a name on the side of the truck you can do pretty much whatever you want. I have always driven past the weigh stations and have never been bothered but I have always wondered if I should stop. I assume they must all operate under federal rules, even though they are operated by State Police. So, whats the skinney on this? I did try a search on the internet and didnt turn up anything of use.
Thanks,
Tim
