Prices won't drop anytime soon. Both China and India have made it clear that they intend to pay whatever they need too for "fossil" fuels and they'll take whatever we don't use. If gas prices are too high for you (and you want to keep your truck), move a diesel into your truck. We have a Suburban and my M37 (work truck). We choose to have them. My 4 kids don't go to bed hungry because we drive them. But then, I own those vehicles outright and don't buy vehicles on time. I'd rather pay less for the gas though!
