I need to strip the paint from my cab in preparation to repaint. There is 3 to 4 layers of paint and I am leaving the cab on the frame. Time is limited due to a new baby, and having to do the work on my truck at a friends house on his concrete driveway that I can't stain. Sandblasting really isnt feasible. All windows and doors are out/off, and there is not much rust except in the bottom panels.

How long would it take to sand the paint off and what would be the best method to do so? What grits, sizes, ect?

Eastwood has some chemical strippers as does Molecular-Tech coatings out of BC Canada (EFS-2500) ( http://www.m-tc.com/paint_stripper/automotive_paint_stripper.htm )

Has anyone tried a chemical stripper and is it worth it?

Any advice on any type of stipping welcome.
