OK now I feel like a moron!!! I pulled the hub apart, and everything looked fine, so next I pulled the axle vent, and blew air through it, seemed ok not blocked or even sticky. So next I pulled the drain plug on the diff, and got the can of solvent out and poured some in the hole where the vent should be. Sure enough solvent come out the bottom right away. So I assumed that everything was working the way it was supposed to, and grabbed the vent to stick it back in the hole. When I picked it up I inspected it carefully to make sure the threads were still good, thats when I noticed that the end of it was kind of mushroomed. So I stuck a small screwdriver down the hole that the vent goes in, on the axle. Sure enough it hit something solid, so I got a flashlight and a mirror, and looked in the hole. There must be some sort of shroud around the hole on the inside, and it looked to me like, the vent was bottomed out against the shroud, effectively sealing it off when it was threaded all the way in. So I shortened it up a 1/4" or so and put it back in, and threw everything else back together. Wont know for sure for awhile, but I bet I got it.
