I finally listed about 25 of these parts on Ebay since I had no takers here on the forum.
I am cleaning out the shed of M37 parts I have extras of and do not need them cluttering my shed. I need to generate some money in order to continue working on my existing project M37. I live 25 minutes due south of I-485 which is south of Charlotte, NC about 3 miles north from the SC border. Make me a reasonable offer on any or all of it. It will save you money if you come get the parts rather then me ship them. Usually on deals like this the shipping is the deal killer. All parts are used take-offs and as such you get what you get. Please don’t pepper me with questions unless you really want to buy. I can send you good quality digital photos of any of these parts.
Here is list
· Rear fender with dent
· Generator – condition unknown, assume it is an M37 generator but can’t guarantee
· Battery box and top
· Inner rear windshield set 1 in pretty rough shape. Might be able to make one good set by combining parts from set 1 and 2. Glass is shot. I will bust out glass to save shipping weight if you want but will not take frames apart.
· Inner rear windshield set 2 See above (same problems) buy these two sets together
· Windshield outer frame screws frozen in place
· Windshield scissors arms – take a few or take them all
· Spare tire – looks like it was never mounted, some crazing, has two hunks of rubber out of it but I think it would make a good spare. I don’t use this size tire.
· Crank handle and tire iron – don’t ask me what this goes to but buy it if you want it
· Rim and two lock rings – take the rim and a lock ring or both. Rim has heavy rust
· Vacuum wipers – 4 take off. Have no idea if they even work, probably not, good for cores
· Fuel filler neck – includes screen extension tube and cap, pretty rusty inside though
· Fire siren mount – aluminum, old timey siren was gone so don’t know what model mounts to it
· Rotating pintle mount – all you need to add is the bolt on pintle hitch
· Bed stiffeners – these are the parts that go into the rear most bed cross member and lock the bedside uprights to that cross member. These are rusty with two bolts broken off in the welded nut plates but some heat and an easy out will probably get the busted bolts out
· Taillights – 4 of them, condition inside unknown but the one has the lens pulled of while it was on the truck. Outside wiring is shot.
· Toolbox doors – rust on hinge but not rotten just stiff.
· Tail light mount brackets – both sides plus the guard
· Emergency brake lever and rod
· Rear loop ring mounts – but does not include the rings or any hardware
· Fuel filler neck bed cover
· Gas tank straps
· Gas tank – this tank has some serious rot through on the top and the inside is a mess. However I am including another gas tank (it is not an M37 tank). My theory is that you can cut parts out of the non-M37 tank and weld in a patch on the rotted M37 tank. Then coat the inside for a good M37 tank. Shipping will be the killer here.
· Rear cross member – it has a dent in it in the center
· Toolbox bed floor – this is pretty rusted but would be good for a repair part of one that has holes in it.
· Bed cross member – I have the other bed cross members available but no pictures, tell me what you need. Counting from the back I have position 2, 3, 4, and 5. #5 has some serious rot but could be used to fix one that is rotted and needs a repair piece. Only have one of each, I would prefer to sell the entire set.
