Besides, body mounts should have lots of flex to prevent fatigue cracks. And Delrin is pretty hard. So I made mine from surplus rubber mallets. I used a wood lathe. Time will tell whether the rubber specs for mallets are similar to the specs for motor mounts.

I do like the concept that the Danish army used- they modified their M-601 cabs and put one mount center/rear instead of the two on each side. The 'tripod' is much more forgiving of off road flexure.
