Wow! You must have just missed getting that fixed under warranty. That has to tick you off.

Back in the days of the 90 day warranties (Yes, in the 1950's) it was a common experience to come up a day late and a dollar short on warranty coverage. Now we have 3 year warranties that transfer with the truck. Some things are better these days.

I always buy the extended warranty. The Dodge dealer buys the warranty like all other things. He pays wholesale and sells it retail. Because, warranty work usually pays the dealer well, the dealer has an incentive to sell the extended warranty at or close to his actual cost.

Also, when you trade in the truck, the extended warranty can be transferred to the new owner or sold back to the dealer. I got enough of the extened warranty back when I traded in my 2001 CTD to make the down payment on my 2005 POWER WAGON.

You better believe I want the greatest possible warranty coverage on the POWER WAGON. Starting with the frame itself, there are many parts and equipment unique to the POWER WAGON. Can you say ELECTRIC locking differentials, or ELECTRIC disconnectiing sway bar? Now, when I'm out on the trail, I carry a cell phone instead of a wrench.
