Norm the forrests in the pacific nw usually wont burn too well in the winter either.But the Japanese wre experimenting with some germ warfare on the Chinese and were counting on the big mouthed americans to report on thier sucsses so they could launch the germs if the balloons were making it. My mom said the families were to keep quiet about the bomb and the media didn't run with it like they do now.
