First Class rebuild going on there. You had me worried with the piston pic. Thought you had some more bad luck. Now i'm sure (hoping)it's from the first engine? That is a little more than a broken piston "skirt". But almost always sounds like a lifter noise.
Good thing you pulled it apart,or you would have been looking for a block. Nice Job!,TGP
