No stone or angle on a drill doctor. It has a metal tube with diamond dust/chips bonded to it. When it's wore out it just doesn't cut and burns the bits up.

The main thing to watch as other have said is indexing the bit per instructions. Also, when tightening if you overdo it, the holding flutes will start to spiral. You want those straight as that will mess it up as well. Did you get the video with it?

I've also found the split point option helps as well but you have to have the index right on the first operation to get that far. Keep practicing, you'll get it.
