I forget the year, maybe the late 60's, there was a newspaper account of 15 brand new Model A Fords found in an abandoned warehouse, it was Detroit, Chicago, or??? This was before the internet and the plethora of urban legends and fairy tales. So I think it was true, unlike the Jeeps in a crate for $50 story. Although Jeeps were crated for shipping, without tires, near the end of WWII, and I suppose some did get surplused that way.......
