I looked at some, then decided to buy a small honda 2000 watt generator instead. The inverters, I actually bought an 1800 watt inverter, like another contractore had mounted in his van, but it couldn't quite run a circular saw and a drill at the same time. if you have a big circ saw it wouldn't start it. the inverter was around $500 the honda generator (which has an inverter in it) was $999 and can run quite a bit more. it is super quiet as well. The contractor that had the inverter in his van took it out. it killed his dual batteries. It all depends what you want to do with it. he s a sider so he used it all day long . There are also generator conversions to mount one on your engine. My Ferd box truck has dual alternators, I could change one to a generator, but I didn't want the truck running all day.
