I put a 1984, 360 in a 58 Power Giant that originally had a 315 in it. We had to build new motor mounts from scratch for each side.
This, of course, is a good bit different than what you are installing, so I can not help you with your specific question. I do know that we mated up a 1992, bell housing with hydraulic clutch, off of a 318 engine,to hook the engine to the original 4 speed trans in the truck.
