I figured you ment it the way you just said but I was concerned about the paper you sign saying "I know nothing". The guy probley dumped it there anyway and does not want it anymore. You could do a lost title search and take it from there. I would just worry about signing something after I heard who may have owned it. Getting information second hand from a mad faimly member could be all twisted. Better off doing the correct way and not worry about some one coming back later when it is fixed up. The guy at the DMV Office told me I could sign that paper and get my PW back since he did not register it yet. I told him what about the fine for false information? He said ya that could come back on you. Mark H.
