IMHO, If you can get a good set of surplus axles out of a CUCV Pickup. They will have a D60 front and a GM 14 bolt rear and lockers always in the rear, sometimes in the front. You'll be going to 8 lug so the wheels will look funny. On yea, they come with 4.56:1 gear ratio. Might also want to look for a NP 435 with married NP205 transfer case to back up the 360. Those can be found in mid 70's Dodges if I'm not mistaken.
If you want more road speed, I have a set of 30 spline 4x4 axles, D44 front, GM 12 bolt rear with 3.73:1 gears. Spicer lockout hubs, and disc brakes in front.
Im interested in trading for your 230/4 speed combo.
