The pilot house 2wd truck beds come in three lengths:

6 1/2 foot

7 1/2 foor

9 foot

There are also two heights, low and high beds.

The low beds are too low, so they are out.

The 6 1/2 foot beds are too narrow, so they are out.

The FF PW uses an 8' bed, so anything shorter then 8' would need to be lengthed somehow, which might be hard to do.

A 7 1/2 foot bed would work I guess, if you could find two of them, use one to lengthen the other 6" correctly, and get the wheel well to line up.

The only bed that would work for sure is a 9' bed, and to use that you will need to shorten it, maybe at both ends. This is also a chore.

As APB said the fenders are different, so not only would you need a 9' bed to shorten, you will also need a set of second series fenders.

The rear crossmember/valance is also different so you would need one of those from a PW as well.

If you have a 2nd series truck, and you need a bed, a 9' Pilot House bed might be a good choice, but one of those in good condition are just slightly easier to find then a real 8' PW bed.

Good Luck.

Eric
