I took mine completely apart, and re-assembled with all new seals, and yokes ( single speed new process, from a 1944WC-51).
It leaked from the first time I put fluid in it...Small drip from the yoke, so, it may break in. A word of advice, use sealer on every case bolt ( the bolts that hold the case together). I used permatex formagasket, (the brown goopy stuff....) , and ultra black on the gaskets.
